
Officer Information
Yarden Batz, President
As President of the BHS Medicine Club, Yarden is responsible for organizing club activities, delegating tasks, and coordinating with speakers, partners, and sponsors. She is currently a junior at BHS, and aspires to be a surgeon. Yarden speaks Hebrew, is a member of Science National Honor Society, and enjoys swimming and taekwondo.
Allison Brust, VP Events
As VP Events, Allison is responsible for organizing events and running meetings when the President is absent. She is currently a junior at BHS, and aspires to work as a pediatrician for special needs children. Allison is an active member of the Best Buddies club, which forms and encourages friendships between kids with and without disabilities.
Christine Smothers, VP Marketing
As VP Marketing, Christine is responsible for coordinating club member recruitment, developing the club image, and spreading awareness of Medicine Club. She is currently a junior at BHS, and aspires to work as a professor of medicine. Christine participates in forensics, plays the clarinet, and maintains a blog with over 1,300 followers.
Jing Dai, VP Treasurer
As VP Treasurer, Jing is responsible for club funds and the club’s finances, including coordination of the Club’s bank account, financial policies, and budgets. She is currently a junior at BHS, and aspires to work in the medical field. Apart from classes, Jing enjoys playing chess and creating artwork, some of which have been displayed at Frist Center for Arts.
Haruka Ichikawa, VP Secretary
As VP Secretary, Haruka is responsible for keeping club records of meetings and activities and updating the club website. She also helps in communicating with guests and organizing club visits and activities. She is currently a junior in BHS, and aspires to work in pharmacy, but is also interested in occupational therapy. Haruka is a member of the school choir and the cross country team. She also enjoys swimming and listening to music.
